Food trucks and live music sure have a way of bringing people together! INTERSECTION Community Festival in South Euclid will be held this Friday, June 9 from 5:00-10:00. Afi 'n the Mix and Follow the Sun will be supplying the tunes, and there will be yummies for meat eaters and vegans alike.
One of the things I love so much about Cleveland (and my part of town especially), is the deep commitment to culture. Nowhere is that more evident than at The Music Settlement. Nestled in a lovely big ol' mansion on a bloom-lined street, it just gives all the right vibes. This Friday, June 9, talented adult students will be performing. Go listen to some lovely music and grab dinner at L'Albatros...yes please!
Ahhhh it's Farmer's Market Season again! Finally! While the market at Shaker Square has been open for a bit this year already, the weather has not always been cooperating. (Insert Cleveland weather joke here). However, things are looking up! Pop in the Shaker Square market on Saturday mornings and don't forget the super fun sunset market on Thursday evenings at Van Aken.

Yes, I know I've referenced The Fairmount on here at least half a dozen times. However, there is a development that needs to be reported! They have a whipped feta appetizer that I sampled on a recent sun-dappled visit to the patio and...there are no words. But I'll try. Rich feta, topped with pistachios and served with pita...with a glass of crisp, chilled white wine...on the cheerful, bustling patio? Yeah, that says "summer" to me.

Or, as occasionally called by locals, "Purvis Country Club", it's of course our spot all summer long. Sure, Purvis has a pretty solid pool situation (although as of last weekend, the slide is still broken). But we also plan to partake in tennis lessons and arts and crafts in the park. Plus, you can rent pickle ball equipment there, so if you have gotten the pickle-bug, you're in luck. Speaking of local parks, don't forget to check out summer music at The Walt!

The Spring real estate market sort of "opens" after Superbowl Sunday, but it doesn't feel like it with this weather! However, reality is reality, and things in the market are starting to feel like Spring. Interest rates have been discussed at length elsewhere, so I won't be boring! But with things going on in the banking world and continued lack of inventory, it's interesting to see how things may be unfolding over the next few months.

For me, the process of seeing it all with fresh eyes began when I got married and started to have children. Taking them on interesting, educational outings became just as fun for me as it was for them! And time and time again, I return to Heights favorites, new and old, because let's face it, it's just the best part of town! Eventually, I decided to join my love of community, interest in homes and desire to meet new people and become a real estate agent. I love that I've created a life for myself where the thing I get to do all week long is go in and out of cool Heights houses. It's always something new - a 150 year old safe tucked away behind a hidden door; an incinerator in the basement that feels like it's from a scary novel; floral wallpaper from the 60's that the buyers can't wait to remove but I secretly love!
